The solution to so many of life’s problems is to just keep going.
If X is mostly an illusion, I think I'm gonna do some crazy shit just for fun.
@maxmarchione Max you're good vibes. Always yes and. Nearly no one has those intuitions. They fall prey to the knee jerk reaction of "no but..."
I create content for X, IG, YouTube, TikTok, and email. The video below will do 1-3 million views on IG, YouTube and TikTok but will perform horribly on X (maybe 20-50k views). The video also has a longer total life on the other platforms, whereas dead on X within 24 hours.
The other drawback of X is that content you produce is rarely indexed by LLMs other than grok. So you're seen and chronicled in the X universe but invisible to other models. That's not great for people trying to create durable knowledge bases that are useful to others.
When I'm out and about in the world, people recognize me from IG or YouTube at a 20:1 ratio to X. Outside of SF, an X user in the wild is a rare sighting which is strange given how much surface area X seems to occupy. The X paradox: where is everyone?
