Zuckerberg’s PR team is trying to steer the conversation away from the most relevant issue: We own our data. We should be in control of it. We can monetize it. We can use it to improve ourselves. They know this will sink them, so they divert #OwnYourData
The reason I care about #OwnYourData: it's central to first steps of investing heavily in radical human improvement. Improve humans, don't extract their value+make worse version of themselves. Commercial incentives need to = human improvement.
ICYMI #DeleteFacebook is a response to psychological manipulation, fake news, Cambridge Analytica & Russian meddling, to name a few. Facebook is untrustworthy; always has been. Let’s move past this realization & into a constructive next step: #OwnYourData
